Uruguay, a unique place in the world
Uruguay is located at South America’s southeast. A country of 3 million people, 12 million heads of cattle and over 300 years’ experience in extensive cattle breeding. Its weather, location and geology make Uruguay one of the last reserves of natural prairies dedicated to livestock production.
The herds are raised in the open range all year long, and are naturally fed on vegetable protein, with no animal products or by-products included in their diet--these practises have been abolished by law for over 20 years.
